Skiing and snowboarding
Benecko is an ideal place for families with children and recreational skiers. It offers slopes of all difficulty levels – from blue runs to red and even two black slopes. There are also children’s parks, snowtubing, ski schools, and equipment rentals. From Apartmány tři boudy, you can reach the Kejnos chairlift in approximately 3 minutes by car.
In Benecko, you can choose from several ski and snowboard schools as well as equipment rentals. For smaller children, the Sova or Husky ski schools are suitable, while Skischool Kandahar specializes in ski instruction, and for little snowboarders, there is the Little Trees school.
If you want to enjoy longer slopes or larger ski resorts, you don’t have to travel far. Ski Resort Herlíkovice is approximately a 15-minute drive away and offers more than 13 kilometers of slopes.
In about 25 minutes, you can also reach Špindlerův Mlýn, the largest ski resort in the Czech Republic. We recommend visiting the Svatý Petr or Medvědín areas, which offer runs for both beginners and experienced skiers. Before planning your skiing in Špindlerův Mlýn, don’t forget to buy your ski passes in advance.
Cross-country skiing
Benecko is one of the most popular cross-country skiing locations in the western Krkonoše Mountains. Thanks to its altitude of around 850 meters, snow conditions are usually very good, and the winter season often lasts longer than in lower-lying areas.
The largest selection of groomed ski trails starts at the Benecko ski resort, where you can choose from several cross-country circuits according to your preferences. Dozens of kilometers of regularly groomed cross-country trails await you in the vicinity of Benecko.
Directly from Apartmány tři boudy, you can head out along forest paths towards the Žalý lookout tower, through Rovinka all the way to Horní Mísečky, or join the Krkonoše Cross-Country Trunk Road.
For a trip with small children, the ideal route is towards the Rovinka crossroads along the in-line trail, which you can join near the Bellevue residence.
